India is declared as
Polio Free Nation by
WHO in 2014 as their were
no polio cases were found since 2011. In 2014, India joins the list of Polio Free Nation along with the rest of
South-East Asia region. All thanks to the hardwork of
Indian Government,
Global Polio Eradication Initiative, Notable WHO, Rotary International and
UNICEF.
In 2010, India introduced Bivalent Polio Vaccine, which helps India in eradication of Polio and to battle against this disease.
10. Mangalyaan
